I love pancakes, let me quantify that; I love good pancakes and pancakes that I truly love can be found at Bill’s in Sydney.  Having some excess ricotta cheese on hand I decided to sway away from my usual butter milk pancake recipe (also from Bill’s by the way) and try my hand at his Ricotta Cheese Pancakes with honeycomb butter instead.

I have a bad habit (or so my wife tells me); I buy things to cook / eat and they end up living in the fridge/freezer for the longest amount of time.  So I had a whole duck sitting in there ‘sleeping’, then one fine day I had the inspiration to try making roast duck (my original plan was to try and make a red duck curry but well that came and went.

I Googled around and found a interesting recipe for honey orange duck, so with the intention of cooking I set about sourcing for my ingredients and low and behold Honey Orange Duck was born.

Nothing beats having your own home made pizza; my grandma use to try her way of making them for my sister and I when we were young.  Ah those were the days when I knew very little of cooking and I hadn’t yet owned a kitchen.  I took this recipe from the MasterChef – Season 1 cook book and did a little improvisation.

Sorry Guys.. It’s Been a While

 

Hey there everyone; sorry that it has been almost 4 months since my last post. In a sentence life has been nothing short of Crazy Busy: Went to China on business, a week later travelled back to Sydney & I got myself married, a week after that I travelled again to Austin & Houston Texas… so now that I’ve finally managed to keep my feet in one country for a few weeks at least I’ll be able to finally put up more recipes of stuff I’ve cooked; and of course reviews of places that I got to eat at during my travels.
